My 1964 Olds Cutlass
Engine Compartment view of the original 330 4bbl motor.    This particular 330 cubic inch motor is the 290 hp version;  315 hp versions were equipped
with Dual Exhaust and a slighter Hotter Cam Shaft.  Vehicles equipped with the "BO9" Police Interceptor package, which included the 442, were
equipped with the 315 hp motor.

Also, seen is the Heavy Duty, Three row Radiator, Factory Air Conditioning, Power Steering and Two Speed Wipers, and the Power Breaks (Although
the Vacuum Booster and Master Cylinder is clearly seen to have been recently replaced).

Note: The Oil Filler Tube Cap, has a Filter Membrane in it, similar to an Oil Breather Filter.  This Membrane was continually Oil Soaked, resulting in Oil
dripping down onto the Manifold and front of the Engine.  Later Oldsmobile Motors had a Baffle installed at the bottom of the Oil Filler Tube, behind the
Timing Cover.  This later feature aided in the prevention of Oil being forced back up the Oil Filler Tube.
The photo above shows the factory Reverb unit at the middle left.   A Reverb Controller Knob was installed in the Interior of the Vehicle and located at
the bottom of the Dash and just slightly left of the Steering Column Shaft.
The Deck lid is in great condition, Note the Security Light mounted to the Inner Trunk.  A Mercury Level automatically activates the Light when the
trunk is lifted.

The Hood is in fair condition and nearly rusted through at the very front where the Top Lip folds over and is matted with the Lower Panel.  This
corrosion was likely due to Salt exposure during Michigan and or Mid West Winters.

The Lower Door Skins, (not seen in any of these photo), also suffered from the same corrosion damage.
The underside and frame rails at sometime in its life were undercoated,  This likely saved the majority of the Floor Panels from the serious corrosion
damage as the frame and floorboards were in good overall condition.

The exception was the Trunk which is totally devastated, this was clearly due to Rear Window Channel Rust-through and Trunk Seal Deterioration.   The
Rear Window had been caulked with Silicon and the Trunk Seals literally crumbled apart when touched.
